How to Change an Ignition Coil?Part1: Disconnect the old coilLocate the ignition coil to be replaced.Release the clip on the plug running into the side of coil.Part 2: Swapping in the new coilExtract original coil from the engine bay.Orient the new coil in the same directionPart 3: Activate the New ignition coilConnect the plug into the side coil.Reconnect the battery.
Start the vehicle to test the new coil.
Plug in ignition cables according to the order written on them.
Insert the bolts to hold the coil in place.
Prior to installation, compare the new coil to the old one
Use a wrench to unscrew the bolts holding the original coil in place.
Label the cables running into the coil, if there are multiple than one.
Disconnect your battery’s negative terminal
